The Fall Wine Cornucopia is the primary event supporting Central California Winegrowers, the organization that represents, supports, markets, and works to make sustainable the San Joaquin Valley winegrape and wine industry. After our initial success in bringing different facets of the Valley together for the first Cornucopia,CCW is happy to report our strategic partnership with the Guilds of Children’s Hospital Central California. A portion of ticket revenue will go towards the benefit of Children’s Hospital Central California, reinforcing CCW’s commitment to the overall economic, and physical health of the San Joaquin Valley citizenry.
The Fall Wine Cornucopia derives its name, and purpose from the reality that our San Joaquin Valley produces the greatest array of high quality agricultural products in the world. Veritably, the CORNUCOPIA of products grown, produced, and sold from our local vineyards, orchards, dairies, and fields should be a tremendous source of pride for all of the residents of the great state of California. But how many people know the people behind these products? This disconnect is what the Cornucopia hopes to bridge. This is your opportunity to meet and talk with the very same people who produce those wonderful delicacies that you may or may yet be enjoying in the comfort of your home, on the menu of your favorite restaurant, or in your neighbor’s back yard.
At the Cornucopia, you will have the opportunity to sample these delicious treats, as well as taste the award winning wines from the San Joaquin Valley, peruse and purchase local art, and dance and listen to well-regarded jazz music from San Joaquin Valley musicians. Further, your enjoyment of some of the finest things our Valley has to offer is set against the historically beautiful weather of late October. Chukchansi Park is the perfect venue for this experience because it completely protects attendees from any chance of inclement weather, yet exposes us to outdoor vistas, and the striking downtown Fresno skyline set against the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains.
You, your friends, and the people you do not know are all invited to this year’s Fall Wine Cornucopia. Here is our opportunity to delectably present our San Joaquin Valley for all to enjoy!
